Players and enemies
- Character: A figure in the game controlled by a player
- Figure: Any acting unit on the game board
Figure symbols
- Hero, a main figure controlled by a player
- Enemy, any figure in opposition to the Hero characters
- Captain, a stronger version of an enemy, one in each group spawned
- Boss, a special kind of enemy
- Summon, a figure summoned by another character, controlled by that character unless it has actions of its own
- Ally, any character that is in alliance with the acting character
Action symbols
- Healing action performed by a figure
- Melee attack performed by a figure, targeting an adjacent space
- Range attack performed by a figure
- The acting figure pushes the targeted figure
- The acting figure pulls the targeted figure
- Teleport, moves a figure to a space within range without traversing the distance in between
- A move action that moved the characters from one space to another empty adjacent tile while resolving any effects such movement has (traps, loot, etc)
Status symbols
- Adrenaline
- Confused
- Poison
- Wound
- Mark
- Paralyze
- Disarm

Gameplay symbols
- The stamina required to perform an action, taken from the characters stamina pool
- Experience points rewarded for actions, counted towards the characters leveling
- This action card is placed in the discard pile after used
- This action remains active indefinitely until removed
- This action remains active until the end of the current round

Nearby, signifies figures in adjacent tiles to the acting figure unless another point of origin is specified
- Flying, the acting figure is not affected by ground-based tile effect, like traps. Nor hindered by ground based objects like obstacles
