Figure status

During gameplay, certain actions may add status effects to a figure, depending on the type of status, it has different methods on how it is removed and when

Removing status effects

There are different rules to how status effects are removed from the figure.

Heal

Some status effects needs to be removed by performing a Heal action. Status effects that require Heal to be removed requires 2 Heal points to be removed. If the Heal action is more than 2 then the remaning Heal points go towards the figures health points.

End of turn

This is in reference to the figures next turn, which may or may not be in the next round depending on the figures speed

End of round

This mean that the status effect only lasts to the end of the round it was granted.

Inflicting status effects

When an action is described as the Attack is resolved first and the status is applied after to the target of the attack (regardless of whether the attack resolved to any damage). If the attack can not be performed, the status is not applied. When a status effect is an action of itself, like Adrenaline or Poison, then normal rules applies if you want to apply it to another figure unless the action specified it can only be applied to the performing figure, but you omit the damage roll. Meaning that if a Hero use Poison as an action, that player must roll for range to the target it wants to Poison, and if the roll doesn't cover the distance to the target, the status is not applied. When the action is formulated like Poison 3 then no dice roll takes place and can only be applied to targets within a distance of 3.

Figure status effects

Poison
Heal
When afflicted by Poison, a figure suffers one health point at the start of their turn. In order to remove Poison, the figure needs a Heal action. Healing from Poison requires two Heal points, unused Heal points above 2 go towards the figures health points.
Wound
Heal
When afflicted by Wound, a figure suffers one extra damage when attacked, if the attack results in damage (i.e. if the attack results in 0 damage, no extra damage is taken). Removing a Wound status has the same requirements as Poison
Confused
End of next turn
When afflicted by Confused, each action roll (damage, range, defense) is rolled twice and the lesser result is used. Normal re-roll rules apply to these rolls.
Adrenaline
End of next turn
With status Adrenaline, the effect is the opposite of Confused, where any action roll is rolled twice and the better option is used. Normal re-roll rules apply to these rolls.
Paralyze
End of next turn
When a figure is paralyzed, the figure can not perform actions on its round, nor perform any move action or play any item cards
Disarm
End of next turn
When a figure is disarmed, that figure can not perform any attack on their round, but can do other actions, such as heal, loot and use items (except items that grant an attack)
Mark
Removed when the Mark is resolved or by item cards
When a figure has the Mark status, any attack towards it is +1, plus it is considered a priority for enemy targeting

End of round
Shield can both a permanent status, or a temporary granted by actions or items. If temporary, the Shield stays active until the end of the round unless otherwise specified by the action that granted it.
Reach
End of round
Reach status may be permanent and temporary. The default Reach for any figure is 1, meaning that they can reach realm rifts and loot one space away. With actions and items, this status can be extended
