When an enemy is killed, that enemy drops loot you can gain. If your attack was a then the loot is gained the moment the enemy is killed, if the attack was a then you have to move over or next to the loot to pick it up. Loot is automatically picked up when moving to or through a space where it is left. If your character has a reach over 1, then loot is collected the amount of spaces away that the reach determines. This does not apply to loot moved by during movement, only when stationary (before or after movement). A loot action requires 1 Stamina to be spent, which means you have to spend 2 Stamina if you want to loot before and after you move.
Loot can be items or money. An enemy drops more valuable loot the more health it had when it was killed. Use the below table to determine what loot you gain after killing an enemy
The HP number signifies the amount of health the enemy had at the start of the attack that results in its death. If the acting character has several attack actions it is only the last attack action that kills the enemy that counts towards the loot table.
1 HP | Gold |
2 HP | Gold |
3 HP | Gold - Adrenaline |
4 HP | 2 Gold |
5-7 HP | 2 Gold - Adrenaline |
8+ HP | Random Loot Card - Adrenaline - ![]() |
Overkilling
"Overkilling" an enemy does not count towards loot, if the enemy has a HP of 3 and the acting character uses an attack that resolves to 4 HP damage, only the 3 HP the enemy had counts towards the loot table. However, when you do "overkill" an enemy, the following table can be used for an effect
3-5 HP overkill | Adrenaline |
6+ HP overkill | Adrenaline - ![]() |
